Recfish SA have received funding from the SA Government to develop, coordinate and run educational events for women in recreational fishing. These events will occur in Adelaide and regional areas. The focus will be on encouraging more women to try recreational fishing, provide basic skills, and initiate continuing fishing activities involving women.

About the role:

We are seeking passionate and suitable candidates to join our busy team to facilitate and deliver fishing clinics and fishing activities. The tasks include but are not limited to;

• Organise and run fishing clinics and fishing activities
• Keep records of attendance, summary of activity and outcomes
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment during activities
• Encourage those with disabilities to participate
• Participants education (safety, handling of fishing equipment, preparing rigs, handling fish, effective catch and release methods, fish identification)

Role requirements:

Provide or willingness to attain;

• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Australian residency or a current working visa with clear travel plans
• Child Safe Environments, Responding to Abuse and Neglect; training can be provided
• DHS Working with Children Clearance
• Have a passion and good knowledge of fishing skills
• Hold a current driver’s license
• Able to drive a manual vehicle and tow a trailer
