a difference?
Have you ever wanted to be part of an organisation involved
in advocating for recreational fishers in South Australia?
The four state recreational fishing peak bodies, Recfish SA, VRFish,
NSW Recreational Fishing Alliance and TARFish are seeking
young motivated recreational fishers who can commit to being part
of the next wave of leaders in the recreational fishing sector.
The NextWave program will see participants undertake training in
fisheries management, communication, negotiation and leadership at a 5 day intensive course to be held in Port Fairy, Victoria from 5 June
this year. RecFish SA are able to offer 1 position to a South Australian future leader.
The NextWave team will be called upon to support, Recfish SA, VRFish,
NSW Alliance and TARFish in their role as the peak bodies representing
the interests of recreational fishers in South East Australia.
All costs for the candidates will be met by the peak bodies and the course will include presentations from leading fishing personalities, scientists, managers and sector leaders. Case studies will be completed by candidates under the supervision of experienced mentors.
