Applications for Round 2 of the South Australian Government’s $2.25M Recreational Fishing Grants Program open in January 2016. Quality project applications can take some time to develop, so for this round we’re starting early. To get the best possible outcomes for the recreational fishing community, RecFish SA are providing assistance to Local Government (Councils) about what kinds of projects SA fishers would like to see funded and where the demand for these developments is.

In Round 2, SA Recreational Fishing Grants of up to $50,000 each, will be available for projects around the state. Local Councils (as well as Clubs and Community Organisations) will be eligible to apply.

In the first round, many types of applications were successful with fishing platforms, habitat enhancement, fish stocking, fish cleaning tables, kids fishing clinics and access tracks just some of the projects receiving full or provisional funding (see full list here & here).

Now Round 2 of the grants could Fund Your Idea! So tell us what projects you would like to see. Please take a moment to register your idea below so that we can help out by forwarding them to the responsible department in the corresponding council area.
